UP B.Ed Entrance Exam 2010 Cancelled Due To Paper Leak

Lucknow: Test papers of the B.Ed Joint Entrance Exam in Uttar Pradesh (UP) were leaked in Farukkhabad district, following which the exam scheduled, to be held on May 5, 2010, has been cancelled. Over 6.5 lakh aspirants were to appear in the entrance examination.
 
The new date of B.Ed entrance exam 2010, which is being conducted by Lucknow University this year, will be declared later. The B.Ed entrance exam was scheduled to be held in 1274 exam center across 12 districts in the state. The cancellation of the entrance exam was a set back for those students who arrived at their respective centers for exams.
 
As per sources, the decision to cancel the B.Ed entrance examination was taken by Lucknow University during an emergency meeting held late on Tuesday night, after it was found that test papers were leaked in Farukkhabad. Moreover, the meeting was also attended by senior police officers. The step was taken after police recovered two sets of A series of general knowledge and English question papers of the examination in Farrukhabad.
