Bangalore: On Thursday,Azim Premji Foundation (APF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), in order to establish Azim Premji School of Education (APSE), at the Hyderabad campus of TISS. According to the release, the Azim Premji School of Education (APSE) at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Hyderabad will offer various degrees and continuing education programmes as well as conduct research in the field of education.
According to the MoU, Azim Premji Foundation (APF) will provide financial support to Azim Premji School of Education (APSE) for research, programme and infrastructure. Azim Premji University Board of Governors member & Foundation CEO Dileep Ranjekar said that improving the quality of education must be one of India’s key goals. He emphasized that they think this task needs organizations who have shared vision to collaborate deeply.
Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Director Dr S Parasuraman said this collaboration will strengthen both the institutions, towards the goal of improving education in India.
