New Delhi: Bangalore University (BUB) is all set to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Georgia College and State University in USA. The main objective behind the collaboration is to strengthen the academic infrastructure.
As per the announcement made on Sunday i.e. on October 16, 2011, delegates from the two institutions had an interaction session. During the interaction session, they identified areas of interest such as Online Education, which will facilitate real-time interaction between the professors from Georgia College and BUB students and Georgia College students and BUB professors.
According to a statement issued by Associate Provost for Academic Affairs at the US University, Tom Ormond, the aim of the delegation was to share knowledge, resources, and expertise. Besides, the two bodies are also discussing a Summer Discovery Workshop, which would work as an exchange programme as well as an international study tour for MBA students in May 2012.
In addition, other areas of interest, such as widening the scope of the four-year BS course offered by Bangalore University and of postgraduate courses in business administration, management information systems, and accountancy and law were also discussed.
