New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the cut-off for admission to various management programmes, to be offered in the ensuing session 2011. As per sources, the cut-off for CAT/MAT/State-level Entrance Exams set at 40 percent. Further, sources informed that IGNOU has also declared the result of any examination body, which does not reflect the score in terms of percentage and/or percentile will not be considered for admission.
Furthermore, sources told that in the aforesaid case, the candidates will have to appear for Openmat exam. The Openmat exam is going to be conducted by the university on February 13, 2011. However, CAT/MAT/State level exam qualified candidates are exempted from Openmat. Openmat is an entrance test conducted by IGNOU for admission into various management programmes offered by the university. Candidates can register themselves for Openmat by filling the application form, obtainable from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi- 110068 and from all the Regional Centers of IGNOU.
Cost of the application form and student hand book and prospectus is Rs 500. Candidates can obtain the same by paying the aforesaid amount in cash at the respective sale counters. Candidates can also download the application form from the university's official website: www.ignou.ac.in. Last date for submission of application form is January 10, 2011.
