Noida: National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is likely to announce the results of Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) examinations on December 16, 2011. The examinations were held in the month of October 2011. Once declared, the results will be made available on the official website of NIOS: http://www.nos.org/
Students will be able to obtain the NIOS Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) examination October 2011 results by logging onto the aforementioned website. Candidates can also check their results via SMS, by sending a text message according to the format given below:

Previously known as National Open School (NOS), the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), was founded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The organization was set up in November 1989 as an autonomous organization in pursuance of National Policy on Education 1986. NIOS conducts a number of vocational, life enrichment, and community oriented courses, apart from general and academic courses at Secondary and Senior Secondary levels. It also offers elementary level courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE).
