Puducherry: Pondicherry University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Picardie Jules Verne, located in France. As per sources, the step has been taken in order to foster cooperation in academics and research. Further, sources informed that S Loganathan, Registrar, Pondicherry University and Professor George Faure, President, University of Picardie Jules Verne signed the MoU.
In addition, sources informed that the MoU was signed in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Professor J A K Tareen, Professor Ramadass, Director of studies educational innovation and rural construction and other faculty members. Besides, sources told that the universities will work together by exchanging students, professors, researchers, administrative and technical personnel.
The universities will also work in partnership for programmes such as co-touring and direction of thesis in science, arts and humanities, sources added.
