Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, Kolkata, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) in Biochemistry, to be offered in the ensuing session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the written test, followed by Personal Interview (PI), to be conducted by the University on the below mentioned date.
Note: Candidates, who have already qualified NET / GATE, are exempted from appearing in the admission test but are required to appear in the interview.
Date of Exam
Research Eligibility Test (RET) will be conducted on July 9, 2012 (from 11.00 am to 12.00 pm)
Personal Interview (PI) of selected candidates will be held on June 9, 2012 (at 3.00 pm)
Test Centers
RET and PI will be conducted at Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta
How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the application form from the University's Department of Biochemistry. In addition, one can also download the same from the official website of the University: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. An application fee of Rs 100 is to be paid by the candidates through Bank Challan (downloadable from the website). The duly filled-in application form or hard copy of downloaded form complete in all respect along with the University’s copy of Bank Challan should be submitted at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, West Bengal - 700 073, on or before July 6, 2012.
