Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Calcutta, popularly known as Calcutta University, Kolkata, West Bengal, has invited applications for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programme in the below mentioned streams, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of written test, followed by an interview, to be conducted by the department.
Note: Candidates who have passed UGC / CSIR (JRF) / NET / SET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations or passed the M Tech / ME degree in Computer Science & Engineering or equivalent examination are exempted from the written test. However they have to appear in the interview.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the application form from the University's official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. In addition, one has to pay an application fee of Rs 100 through a “Challan” available at various cash counters of the University. The duly filled in application form along with a copy of the paid “Challan” should be submitted to the office of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering latest by March 12, 2012.
