Department of Chemical Technology, University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, Kolkata, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for second phase admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) (Tech) programme, to be offered in the below mentioned streams in the ensuing session 2012. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the entrance test, followed by personal interview, to be conducted by the University on the following date.

Date of Exam
Entrance test is scheduled to be held on November 23, 2012 (from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm)
Personal Interview (PI) of the selected candidates will be conducted on November 27, 2012 (1.00 pm onwards)

Entrance test will be held at: 2nd Year B Tech Classroom (2nd Floor, Applied Chemistry Building), Calcutta University
PI will be conducted at: Room of the HOD, Department of Chemical Technology (Ground Floor, Applied Chemistry building), Calcutta University

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply through the prescribed application format made available on the University’s official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/ or http://www.caluniv.ac.in/admission%20notice/application_frame.htm. In addition, candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 either by cash or Demand Draft through the duly filled Challan of the University, endorsed by the head of the Department.
The duly filled-in application form, along with all requisite documents (details given on the website) and receipt of deposition of application fee, should be submitted to the Head, Department of Chemical Technology, 92 Acharya Prafulla Chandra Road, Kolkata, West Bengal - 700 009, latest by November 20, 2012. Note: No TA / DA shall be paid to the candidate for appearing in the Entrance Test or Interview.
