New Delhi: Here is some good news for Delhi University (DU) aspirants. Delhi University (DU’s) School of Open Learning (SOL) has decided to come up with online application forms from this session i.e. 2012. Last year, DU’s SOL attracted over one lakh students in its different courses.
Explaining about the decision, HC Pokhriyal, Executive Director, SOL, said that it is a big step forward for SOL as the school gets applications from all parts of the country. In addition, DU’s SOL caters to a diverse set of students and thus, wanted to make SOL accessible to everyone.
In addition, he further clarified that the School doesn’t want to leave out any student and since it caters to students from all backgrounds, it cannot go exclusively for online registration. Therefore, forms for the centre will also be made available at the University. The cost of application form will be Rs 50 and for online registration, payments could be made through a credit or debit card.
For online payment procedure, State Bank of India has agreed to provide a payment gateway, Pokhriyal added. With more than four lakh students on its rolls, SOL is the biggest component of Delhi University.
