IIT Delhi Issues JEE (Advanced) 2013 Schedule

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) has issued the schedule of Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2013, also known as JEE (Advanced). As per the notification issued by IITD, the examination will be conducted on June 2, 2012 (offline only) in two sessions or papers. The first session will be conducted between 9.00 am and 12.00 am; however, the second session will be conducted from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Furthermore, each paper will be of objective type and comprise of separate sections in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
 
According to Joint Admission Board (JAB) of IITs, only the top 1,50,000 (including all categories) candidates of IIT-JEE (Main) will be eligible to appear for the IIT-JEE (Advanced). Those who qualify in IIT-JEE (Main) will have to register themselves on the official website of JEE (Advanced) 2013: http://jee.iitd.ac.in/. In addition, they have to remit a registration fee of Rs 1800 (Rs 900 for SC / ST / PD and no fee for female candidates) between 8 and 13 May, 2013, at any CBS (Core Banking Solution) branch of State Bank of India.
 
From the upcoming academic session, the IITs will conduct JEE for admission into various undergraduate programmes, to be offered at all sixteen IITs and ISM Dhanbad. Earlier, this test was conducted for admission into IITs, IT-BHU and ISM. However, after the inclusion of the new format (Main and Advanced), IT-BHU was finally converted into an IIT upon the passing of The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011.
