Delhi: Department of Management Studies (DMS), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has announced the launch of an online certificate course in Business Management. As per sources, the course will commence from January 7, 2013. However, classes for the same will be conducted in both modes, offline and online. Sources informed that the online classes will be conducted by a Mohali-based online learning and teaching Platform Company, named WizIQ.
While talking about the same, Harman Singh, the founder CEO of WizIQ, said that for a couple of years, similar minor courses were available for the IITians, but it is the first time that the course in Business Management is being offered for outside students as well. He further added that this six months’ course is ideal for working professionals as well as those pursuing the final semester of graduation in any discipline.
According to sources, the course will be conducted over three phases. The first and last phase will comprise of regular classes at the IIT Delhi campus while the second phase will consist of online classes on the WizIQ platform. In addition, students will receive orientation to attend online classes on WizIQ in the first phase and will be issued login credentials for these online classes. The course will require students to have their own laptop or desktop computers with good internet connectivity. The last day to apply for the course is December 15, 2012.
