Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Science (IMS), Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into three-year Ayurveda Vachaspati [MD (Ay)] / Ayurveda Dhanwantari [MS (Ay)] courses, to be offered in the upcoming session 2012. Courses will be offered in subject to the approval of Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the prescribed application form from the counter of office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi on submission of a MICR DD / Bankers cheque of Rs 100 drawn in favor of Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Varanasi, between February 16, 2012 and April 13, 2012. One can get the same through post by sending a written request to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU, Varanasi - 221005 through registered post along with a MICR DD / Bankers cheque of Rs 100 drawn in favor of Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Varanasi along with two self addressed slips (6 x 10 cm). The last date for receiving requisition for supplying application form by post is April 3, 2012.
The application form can also be downloaded from the University’s official website: http://www.bhu.ac.in/ or IMS’s official website: http://www.imsbhu.nic.in/. Candidates must fill all the four pages of the application form. The application form, completed in all respects should be sent to the office of the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi - 221005 latest by April 16, 2012 (5.00 pm). The envelope containing the application should be headed as “Application for Ayurveda Vachaspati [MD (Ay)]/Ayurveda Dhanwantari [MS (Ay)] Course - 2012”.
In addition, the duly completed application must be accompanied with a MICR DD of Rs 1600 (for General and OBC candidates) / Rs 1000 (for SC and ST candidates) (applicable to both internal and external candidates), drawn in favor of Director, IMS, BHU on a nationalized bank (preferably State Bank of India / Bank of Baroda) and payable at Varanasi.
