Srinagar: University of Kashmir, also known as Kashmir University, Hazratbal, has issued the admission notification (1) for UG (under graduate) 1st year of 2012. The notification issued announces admission into the first year class of BA, B Sc, and B Com (3 year general course) in the respective affiliated colleges of the University. The last date to complete the admission formalities is February 14, 2012.
However, admission of eligible candidates will be made beyond the last date on payment of late fee of Rs 200 and Rs 400 for first count of 15 days and second count of 15 days, respectively. All aspiring candidates who have passed their 12th class examination in full are eligible for admission. However, for Science stream, candidates who have secured not less than 45% marks in case of open merit and 40% marks in case of reserved categories, in aggregate, will be eligible for admission.
In addition, admission notification for students appearing through the following boards / institutions, will be issued separately.
- Central Board of School Education, New Delhi
- Private Students whose examination is likely to be conducted by J&K BOSE in February 2012
- Re-elevation cases of 12th class October-November 2011
- Boards other than J&K BOSE
