Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, Shimoga, Karnataka, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into various Postgraduate (PG) Degree / Diploma programme, to be offered at the below mentioned constituent centers of University’s Post Graduate Department of Studies and Research under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in the ensuing session 2012-13. Admission in all courses except MBA and MCA will be made on the basis of candidates’ academic qualification. While, in MBA and MCA programme, admission will be offered on the basis of merit obtained in Common Entrance Test (CET), conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bengaluru.
Note: The University will also conduct an entrance test to fill the vacant seats of MBFI, M Sc (Library & Information Science) / MSW / MA (Journalism & Mass Communication), MBA / MCA / M Sc (Clinical Psychology), B P Ed & M P Ed, if necessary.

How to Apply
Interested candidates may obtain the prospectus and application form from University's Employees Society, Shankaraghatta / Sahyadri Science College, Shimoga / Postgraduate Centre, Kadur, by paying an application fee of Rs 250 (Rs 150 for SC /ST candidates) in the form of Demand Draft (DD) drawn on any nationalized bank in favor of The Finance Officer, Kuvempu University, payable at State Bank of Mysore, Shankaraghatta / Stat Bank of India, Shankaraghatta.
In addition, the same can be procured through post by sending a DD of requisite amount (as mentioned above) along with a self addressed envelope of size 22cm x 30cm duly affixed with postal stamps worth Rs 125 to Deputy Registrar (Academic), Kuvempu University, Jnana Sahyadri, Shankaraghatta, Karnataka- 577451. The envelope containing the requisition must be super scribed as Application for admission along with the name of desired course. Prospectus and application form can also be downloaded from the official website of the University: http://www.kuvempu.ac.in/.
The duly filled-in application form or hard copy of the downloaded form complete in all respect along with all requisite enclosures (as mentioned in prospectus) should be sent to the Postgraduate Department of Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, Shimoga, Karnataka - 577 451, on or before the below mentioned last date of submission of application form. One should attach the DD of requisite amount (as mentioned above) along with the downloaded form. Note:
Candidates seeking admission into MBFI, M Sc (Library & Information Science) / MSW / MA (Journalism & Mass Communication) / MBA/ MCA / M Sc (Clinical Psychology) / B P Ed & M P Ed courses are required to enclose a DD of Rs 200 (Rs 100 for SC / ST / Cat-I) as an entrance test fee (apart from application form fee) along with the application. The DD should be drawn in favor of the Finance Officer, Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta.
