Jamia Milia Islamia University, Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics, New Delhi, has invited applications for admission into its various disciplines of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate courses, for the academic year 2013.
The B. Arch. programme offered is a five-year course with an intake capacity of 80 students. The B.Arch. programme is offered in two modes - regular and self-financing with 40 seats each. Both modes have the same curriculum and are run parallel in the morning and evening shifts. The last date of application for B Arch programme is May 10, 2013.
According to a press release by the University, the B. Arch programme is a rigorous course which incorporates studio as well as field work and has promising career prospects. The infrastructure available in the faculty is at par with changing trends and has among other things workstations, a full fledged library, model workshops, and state-of-the-art laboratories.
The Postgraduate programmes offered each is of two-year duration, which includes Masters in Ekistics with an total intake of 20 and Masters in Architecture (M. Arch.) with an intake of 100. The areas of specialization in M.Arch are Pedagogy, Medical Architecture, Building Services, Recreational Architecture, Urban Regeneration.
The last date of application for Masters in Architecture (M.Arch) and Masters in Ekistics is June 10, 2013.
