Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, has invited applications from eligible candidates for direct admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) programmes to be offered in the following academic departments of the University, in the ensuing academic session 2013-14. Admissions for the PhD programmes are offered in two semesters - Monsoon Semester and Winter Semester.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can download the prescribed application form from the University’s official website: http://www.jnu.ac.in/. The direct link to download the same is: http://www.jnu.ac.in/Admission/DirectPhDForm2013-14.pdf. Application fee for different candidates is as follows:
- For General and OBC category - Rs 420 (Rs 200 for cost of application form + Rs 220 for processing fee)
- For candidates belonging to SC / ST and Physically Challenged (PH) Category- Rs 310 (Rs 200 for cost of Application form + Rs 110 for processing fee)
- For candidates belonging to BPL Category- Rs 110 for processing fee
- For Foreign National candidates- Rs 1450 (Rs 200 for cost of application form + Rs 1250 for processing fee)
Applicable application fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of “Jawaharlal Nehru University” payable at “New Delhi”. The duly filled in and completed application form along with DD and other requisite enclosure documents should be sent through Registered Post to the Section Officer (Admissions), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi - 110067 or in person in Room No. 28, Administrative Block of Jawaharlal Nehru University, latest by February 15, 2013.
