Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, Maharashtra, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into Integrated M Phil-PhD / Direct PhD programme in the following research areas, to be offered in the upcoming academic session 2013-14. Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in the Research Aptitude Test (RAT), followed by personal interview, to be conducted by the Institute.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply for admission, through any of the following modes:
- Offline Application- Candidates may obtain the application form and information brochure through post from the Section officer (DSO). However, one can download the same from the Institute's official website: http://www.tiss.edu/. The direct links to download applications are as follows: for integrated M Phil-PhD programme: http://www.tiss.edu/announcement/application-form-integrated-m.phil.-ph.d, and for PhD programme:http://download.tiss.edu/admissions/mphil_phd_2013-14/application_form_direct_phd_2013-14.pdf. The application fee of Rs 1000, for the above mentioned courses, can be remitted at any branch of the State Bank of India, through a bank challan (downloadable). The duly filled in and completed application form along with bank challan, should be submitted latest by March 16, 2013.
- On-line application: Candidates can apply online by filling in the online application form made available on Institute's official link: https://mphilphd-admissions.tiss.edu/. The prescribed fee can be paid using Credit card, Debit card or net banking. The last date of submitting online application is the same as mentioned above.
