26,000 Forms of Delhi University Sold on Day One

New Delhi: On day one i.e. on June 1, over 26, 000 forms of Delhi University (DU)are being sold, available at 16 information centers spread across the capital. The crowd gathered at varsity campus clearly displayed the obsession among the students to join DU affiliated colleges. As per the sources, a large number of forms were sold, but the overall rush was less than that of last year.
 
The varsity campuses in the north and the south of the city, witnessed a huge crowd of aspirants and parents making their way to the various centers and colleges. The sale and receipt of forms for admission into 47 courses and 63 colleges would be open till June 15 between 10 am to 1 pm. The common pre-admission forms would be available only at 16 designated centers for Rs 50 each. Moreover, an information bulletin is being distributed along with the common pre-admission form. The information bulletin contains not only the list of courses available in different colleges but also last year's cut-off marks for each subject in each college and maps providing locations of all the colleges.
 
Registration for physically challenged students is open between 10 am and 2pm, at the office of the Dean Students Welfare in North Campus and forms are available for them free of cost. Forms for the English honors CATE (Common aptitude test for English conducted for 12 colleges) are available only at the Arts Faculty centre, North Campus, which is also one of four centers where candidates from Scheduled Castes and Schedule Tribes can register free.The varsity is offering 49,000 seats for the ensuing academic session, and the first cut off list would be announced on June 25.
