AMU Medical Entrance Test Held At 6 Centers

Aligarh: Yesterday i.e. on May 10, 2010, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) entrance test for admissions to MBBS/BDS courses was held at six centers namely Aligarh, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhopal and Kozhikode.
 
As per sources, more than twenty one thousand candidates appeared for the test at the six centres. The test was conducted at thirteen test centres at Aligarh with more than nine thousand candidates appearing for it. AMU Vice Chancellor P. K. Abdul Azis, Controller of Exams Pervez Mustajab, University Registrar V. K. Abdul Jaleel and Proctor M. Zubair Khan visited most of the test centres.
 
In addition, elaborate security arrangements were made at the campus to conduct the test along with assistance from civil administration. The most senior serving professors of the University were deputed as observers to various test centres. In order to maintain transparency and to avoid the possibility of use of unfair means during the test, the University had arranged videography at all test centres.
 
Furthermore, special help camps were organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the University at the railway station and other important places to provide guidance to the candidates. Moreover, the University authorities have made accommodation facilities for the candidates and their parents for stay at the University premises.
