IIM-A Has Put Ahmedabad on Global Map Says Modi

New Delhi: On Monday i.e. on December 27, 2010 Chief Minster (CM) Narendra Modi has acknowledged the role of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) in securing a global identity for the city, which was otherwise known only for its textile mills. He also added that the mere presence of IIM-A in Ahmedabad has contributed a lot to the development of Gujarat.

As per sources, Modi was addressing the IIM-A Conclave: Golden Jubilee Celebration of IIM-A as part of the institute's golden jubilee celebrations and in the run up to the Vibrant Gujarat 2011 summit.

Furthermore, Mr Modi has said that Gujarat has achieved an ‘investor-friendly’ status and the focus area in the future will be to develop the education sector from the primary to the professional levels.
