IIMs Extends Date for CAT Registration

Lucknow: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has extended the date of registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2010. According to the new schedule, the CAT vouchers will now be available till October 4, 2010. The last date of registration for CAT 2010 has been extended till October 7, 2010. The CAT examination will start from October 27, 2010 and continue till November 24, 2010.
 
CAT will be conducted at the following test centers, located at - Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Durgapur, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Shillong, Siliguri, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.
 
CAT or Common Admission Test is conducted for admission into the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) and other top business schools. CAT is an all India test that comprises of objective type questions. CAT is conducted by IIMs for admitting students into postgraduate (PG) level management degree. Performance in Common Admission Test or CAT, followed by Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI), serves as the basis for admission. Apart from the IIMs, a candidate can take admission in many other business schools with a valid CAT score.
