DU Introduces Web Chat Facility for Admission Seekers

New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) will introduce the facility of web chat for an hour on selected days, to provide assistance to anxious admission seekers, form Friday i.e. June 3, 2011. The announcement regarding the introduction of the web chat facility was made by an official on Wednesday.
 
The web chat facility is offered by the by the University's Dean, Students Welfare. The link to the web chat will be made available in the University's website: www.du.ac.in. The facility will be provided for selected hours only i.e. between 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm on June 3, 6, 8 and 10.
 
According to a statement issued by the Official there will be a real time interactive question-answer session. Student will be given chance to ask questions related to admissions in various undergraduate courses. He said that the information will be offered by the experts in the field. He also added that different experts will be available at different time schedules.
 
In addition, to the introduction of chat facility, the University on Monday launched its own page on Facebook for direct communication with students. Also, the University has made arrangements for two telephone helplines each in south and north campuses and a community radio would be working in order to assist the anxious students.
