IIM-C Fest Concludes With a Novel Act

Kolkata: Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta (IIM-C) international business festival namely Intaglio 2011 concluded on Sunday (January 9, 2011), stressed on social issues this year, ends with a novel act of extending helping hand to the unprivileged.

As per sources, as a part of “Intaglio Cares” the theme of the fest this year students have taken up an initiative called “Sunehra Kal”. Also, they have assigned Rs 4 lakh to provide primary education to girl children from the underprivileged section of the society.

Ishan Mahajan, External Relations Secretary of IIM-C has made the announcement that, this year; they will provide assistance to five girls from schools around Kolkata. Besides, IIM-C students have been involved in projects like Initiative for Community Action (INCA), where students provide their expertise to NGOs working in the social sector, this is a rare occasion where students are promoting education.
