IIT-G Set to Double its Research Amenities for Research Enhancement

Indian Institute of Technology - Gandhinagar (IIT- G) is all set to double its research facilities in order to enhance its research activities. Presently, the institute that functions from a temporary campus near Ahmedabad, is adding another 2,000 sq meters of research facilities and laboratories.
 
Sudhir Jain, Director of IIT-G, has mentioned that they had developed 2,000 sq mtrs of research facilities ever since the inception of IIT Gandhinagar. He informed that by August, the institute will be adding another 2,000 sq mtrs of research building that will have advanced laboratories and other equipment.
 
Moreover, as per sources a tender for construction had been floated for the research building, which is expected to be completed by August. In addition, Mr Jain has mentioned that they have started to develop some very fine laboratories, which comprise brand new equipment and technology as compared to other 30 year old laboratories. The research facilities will include all the latest technology and equipment that can be used by chemical, civil, mechanical and other engineering disciplines alike.
