Jamia to Celebrate 65th Independence Day

New Delhi: The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University will celebrate 65th Independence Day on August 15, 2011 (Monday).
 
According to a press release, customarily, the Independence Day celebrations are held in the Jamia Millia Islamia School campus, which houses some of the oldest structures on campus. Moreover, it is also an occasion for the entire Jamia biradari to assemble there and celebrate together.
 
Furthermore, the press release informed that the celebrations on the day will begin at 9.00 am with the arrival of the Chief Guest Prof S M Rashid, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University. This will be followed by by the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and the National Anthem. Thereafter, the Chief Guest will deliver his speech. Lastly, the programme will conclude with the distribution of sweets among the students.
