Lucknow University Receives Rs 240 lakh Fund

Lucknow: Lucknow University, which under the Centre for Excellence scheme has received a fund of Rs 240 lakh from the state government.

As per sources, a total of 10 departments are included under the scheme. The maximum of Rs 60.5 lakh has been given to the department of Geology, followed by the department of Zoology, which got Rs 53 lakh. The department of Bio-chemistry, Chemistry and Economics have received Rs 42 lakh, Rs 29 lakh, and Rs 15 lakh respectively.

In addition, a sum of Rs 13 lakh has been given to the department of Business Administration and Women Studies, while Rs 10 lakh has been allotted to the department of Hindi. Besides, the remaining amount has been given to the department of Philosophy and Botany.
