Sharda Global Conclave 2011 Held Today

New Delhi: Sharda Group of Institutions (SGI), North India’s Largest Educational Group, has organized the Sharda Global Conclave 2011 on booming Medical Tourism in India,today i.e. on April 14, 2011. The conclave has witnessed the presence of Ambassadors, First Secretaries of State and other Senior State mission officials from 25 Embassies including China, Syria, Bangladesh, Nepal, Qatar, Iran and Iraq among others.
 
As per sources, SGI has under its flagship six colleges apart from the premier Sharda University and Sharda Global Wellness Centre - a leading multi-specialty hospital in NCR region.  The SGI has brought together world’s finest authorities on medical tourism in the global conclave. In addition, it highlighted the fact of India’s increasing presence as a global destination for medical tourism.
 
The conclave explained the factors behind the rapid growth of India’s medical tourism industry. It was explained that the reason India is a favorable destination is because of it's infrastructure and technology in which the country is in par with those in USA, UK and Europe thus providing ‘First world health care at Third world prices’.
 
In addition, during the conclave the key points presented and discussed of the new market research report “Booming Medical Tourism in India” (as undertaken by SGI). Besides, the report explicated that medical tourism market is expected to be worth USD100 Bn by 2012 and ~USD 500 Bn by 2020 and India is leading this revolution. India’s share in the global medical tourism industry will reach around 3% by the end of 2013.
 
While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman SGI Group and Chancellor Sharda University, said that Sharda Group of Institutions has established itself as a pioneer in technical education in North India. Beside education, they are also focusing on healthcare sector. It is with this effect that we take pleasure in organizing a Global Conclave on the boom of India’s medical tourism industry.
 
Furthermore, Mr Gupta added that today, India is positioned among the leading healthcare providers in the medical tourism sector. Moreover, they are significantly contributing to the popularization and rapid growth of this industry thanks to our skilled doctors and improved infrastructure and technology. It is the mission of SGI through Sharda Global Wellness Centre, to offer medical facilities of international standards in the region.
