Delhi: The result of Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination 2012 (IIT - JEE) is declared today i.e. on May 18, 2012. The results are made available on IIT-Delhi’s official website: http://www.iitd.ac.in/ or http://jee.iitd.ac.in/. As per sources, over 5 lakh engineering aspirants appeared for IIT-JEE 2012.
Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination, popularly known as IIT-JEE, is an entrance test conducted for admission into undergraduate courses at IITs all over India. IIT JEE 2012 was conducted on April 8, 2012. The examination is conducted by various IITs by a policy of rotation. This year, it was conducted by IIT Delhi.
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament for encouraging excellence in education. Presently, there are fifteen IITs located in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar and Roorkee.
