Internet offers handy help for students preparing for CBSE Board exams

New Delhi: Internet, the World Wide Web (WWW), is often referred to as the ocean of knowledge and a perfect tool to quench one’s thirst for learning or for gaining answers to various questions. Nowadays, this medium has become a handy help, for students preparing for Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) board exam. With a plethora of websites, making mock tests and reference materials readily available, internet has become a study companion for students to brush up their concepts and answering skills.

Reportedly, these websites are specially designed for students preparing for CBSE exams, thus they not only offer mock test, but also provide exceptional tutorials for different topics and subjects. Talking about the advantage of these websites, an education expert explained that the online help is getting more popular every day, because students find it ease to access. Sometimes, a student is not able to clarify his / her doubts in class, because he / she feel shy or hesitant but such is not the case online, where anonymity is a virtue in such cases.

Supporting the online help, many principals and teachers also believe, that these sites are very helpful for students, as they help students to assess their basic concepts. However, some teachers advised that the online practice material is pretty much good for testing concepts but, should be used as a supplementary material for study. According to them, students should not use the online help as substitute to their main NCERT study material and sample papers.

Similarly, many experts advised that with exams just a few weeks away, students should start revising their course. The remaining time should be used to practice their problem areas and to reduce their answering time. However, the specialized study websites are not the only help students are seeking. As a matter of fact, social media sites are also emerging as interactive platforms, to share knowledge amongst students preparing for board exams. Besides the abovementioned support systems, those students who are feeling too much under pressure can also opt for professional guidance, offered through various, on phone and in person qualified institutions.
