Chandigarh: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is set to open a new regional centre in Haryana. It is set up with aim to serve the educational needs of students of Chandigarh and adjoining districts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
Headquarters of the proposed centre would be set up in Chandigarh. Presently the regional centre of Haryana is situated at Karnal covers the entire state except Faridabad and Gurgaon. The new IGNOU regional centre in Haryana will be operational from July 1.
