DTU Management Conducts Meeting to resolve Impasse

New Delhi: According a release of Delhi Technological University (DTU), a meeting of Board of Management (BOM) has been organized today i.e. on March 19, 2010, at 11.00 am. The meeting is conducted in order to give a patience hearing to the agitating students and also to hear the voice of those who are not participating in agitation, and to resolve the ongoing agitation on the issue of up gradation of DCE to DTU.
 
Further, the release also says that at this meeting, the BOM shall be apprised of the happenings including the reschedule of the mid-semester examinations of BE/BTech courses due to low attendance on first two days. Also, on the continuation of the agitation despite patience hearing of the grievances of the representatives of agitating students by the University authorities, detailed dialogue at the level of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and despite all counsel, advice and appeal made to the agitating students.
 
The meeting is considered as a necessary step, so that the student’s grievances, if any, should be heard at the level of BOM. It is the highest decision making body of the University, with the hope that the ongoing agitation could be settled and apprehensions of student community are amply clarified.
