New Delhi: Delhi Technological University (DTU) will be organizing its five-day annual cultural festival 'Engifest 2010' from tomorrow i.e. February 18, 2010. As per sources, the annual festival would be inaugurated by Mr. Anand Prakash, Principal Secretary, Training & Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi, in the presence of Prof. P.B. Sharma, Vice Chancellor (VC) of the university.
The inauguration ceremony would be followed by tree plantation and dance performance by Ms. Reela Hota and a Kavi Sammelan by various artists on February 18, 2010 at 3:30 pm. in the university's auditorium. The theme for this year's annual cultural extravaganza of DTU is 'Towards a Green Future. The fest will last until February 22, 2010.
In an official press release from the university it was mentioned that, Engifest-2010 promises to offer a good blend of literary, cultural and entertaining events like Kavi Sammelan, Paridhan (fashion show), Nritya - Indian Solo Dance (Hindi/Classical), T-Shirt Painting, Slow Biking, Rangoli Making, Dirrt: Bikes & Cars Stunt Show, Spandan - The Choreography Competition, Literary Events (debate, group discussion), Treasure Hunt, Sack Race, and Livewire - The Star Nite, besides new events like go karting, photography exhibition and green marathon, among others.
