New Delhi: Delhi University’s (DUs) Common Aptitude Test for English 2010, also known as CATE, is scheduled to be held on June 9, 2010 from 10 am to 11:30 am. CATE 2010 is conducted for admission into DU’s most sought after B.A. English (Honors) programme, to be offered in the upcoming session 2010. The application forms for CATE 2010 would be made available at the colleges mentioned below from May 20 to 31, 2010.
DU affiliated colleges that will use CATE 2010 score to admit students for their English (Honors) programme include Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC), Hindu College, Indraprastha College for Women, Kamla Nehru College, Maharaja Agarsen College, Ram Lal Anand College (evening), Satyawati College (Evening), Shivaji College, Zakir Hussein College (Evening), Lady Sri Ram College (LSR), Miranda House, Bharti College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Deshbandhu College.
The eligibility prescribed for appearing for CATE is a minimum of 60 percent marks in English (Core, Elective and Functional) in the Class 12th board examination as well as a minimum of 60 percent marks in the best of four subject aggregates. CATE 2010 would be conducted across 23 examination centers, including some colleges that have not opted for CATE.
