New Delhi: This year, University of Delhi, popularly known as Delhi University (DU), adopts a unique way of online counseling to the queries of students. The University will conduct online chat sessions with aspirants, which will to help them out during the admission process.
The chat facility would be available only on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4.00 pm. to 5.00 pm and would begin from April 30. As per sources, experts available for chatting online on the official DU website would be guiding students on the admission procedure for undergraduate and professional courses.
The first chat session would be conducted to discuss the BBS, BBE and BFIA courses followed by a question-answer session on undergraduate admissions on May 4. Further, on May 7, 11 and 14, experts would chat on the topics B.EI.Ed and B.Ed., Common Aptitude Test for English (CATE) and journalism respectively.
Besides, the online chatting sessions, students can also seek information through tele-helplines, email and community radio before the sale of forms that begins in the third week of May. Further, Gurpreet Singh Tuteja Deputy Dean of the Students' Welfare added that transcripts of the chat would be available for students to read later on the website.
