IGNOU and NIS-Sparta Sign MoU to Train 24,000 Rural Youths

New Delhi: Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) has come to the forefront with its program in social welfare. NIS-Sparta, a learning solution company of ADAG and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to train 24,000 youths from poor families, to impart training in the telecom and BPO sector.
 
Not only training, their placement in the telecom and BPO sectors would also be the sole responsibility of NIS-Sparta. For this, the company has tied up with several telecom and BPO companies, in order to fulfill their requirement of skilled manpower.
 
In this first step of the magnificent project, training will be imparted to the rural youth of fifteen states of India. Training of 100,000 beneficiaries per year, for different sectors, is also envisioned in the MoU. IGNOU is playing the monitoring and certification partner in this ambitious joint venture. The entire project is to be monitored by IGNOU and students will have their certificate through IGNOU.
                                                                                                                           
The training project is a part of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. Goutam Roy, executive senior vice president of NIS, said about the project that signing an MoU with IGNOU for the Ministry of Rural Development is an honor for the company, as it shows the company’s commitment towards social well-being.
