IGNOU Has Signed Over 100 MoUs, VC Says

New Delhi: Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Vice Chancellor (VC) V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai has announced that IGNOU has signed over a hundred Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with reputed national as well as international educational institutions, during the past one year.
 
Mr Pillai also stated that IGNOU will be taking up more initiatives in the future such as collaborations with government and private agencies to increase the Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER). IGNOU is also working towards converting the 2, 50,000 public.
 
Institutes within India periphery that have signed agreements with IGNOU are Maya Academy of Advance Cinematics, WLC College, HCL Infosystems, Apollo Hospitals Educational Research Foundation, SREI Sahaj-e-Village Ltd., IBM India, Institute of Rail Transport, National Human Rights Commission and the Indian Army, among several others.
 
Some of the international institutions that have signed MoUs with IGNOU are Goethe Institute and University of Vienna, Queensland University of Technology, Radio Netherlands Worldwide, Payame Noor University (Iran), Gulf Centre for University Education and Centre for Environmental Law and WWF India.
