IGNOU Limits the Duration of Management Programmes

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has fixed the maximum duration to complete its management programmes to a period of eight years. Setting limits on how far a management programme can stretch, IGNOU states that those who fail to complete the left over courses within the stipulated time will have to seek fresh admission.

Around 3.81 lakh students registered up to 2006 for management courses and MBA offered by IGNOU are yet to collect their degrees/diploma. They have been asked to complete all the requirements to obtain their degrees/diploma by December 2010 term-end examination. The circular dated February 1, 2007, can be downloaded from the IGNOU website.

The registration for July 2010 session is on in IGNOU. The students can submit the re-registration form with late fee at the respective regional centres last by 20, 2010. The re-registration form can be downloaded from the IGNOU website.
