Madurai: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will shortly come up with a 'model study centre' for the entire Madurai region in the last week of February. As per sources, the University covering 17 districts in the state the model centre is mulled to be for the entire Madurai region, and will function under the direct control of the university.
The model study centre in Madurai will also organize corporate training programme besides working out the academic schedule for various courses offered by IGNOU. Further, the Madurai region covers all southern districts, besides other places like the Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Erode, Thanjavur and Tiruvarur.
