Thiruvananthapuram: On Thursday i.e. November 18, 2010, V N Rajasekharan Pillai, Indira Gandhi National Open University's (IGNOU) Vice-Chancellor has said that dissemination of research findings for corporate applications could be the best way to enable the public to access the benefits of latest technological developments.
In addition, Mr. Pillai said that many new IGNOU courses were designed while aiming at this goal. He said this while conveying a lecture in honor of Dr. M R Das who was the founder of Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB). As per sources, Mr. Das, with support of Kerala Government and the Department of Biotechnology, has developed the institute into a national centre for research in the frontier areas of modern and applied biology.
