Jamia Student Bags First Prize in Inter-University Elocution-cum-Extempore Competition

New Delhi: Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) University student have bagged the 1st Prize in the 37th Kamalnayan Bajaj National Inter-University Elocution-cum-Extempore Speech Competition. Mr. Padmakar Dwivedi, a student of M.Phil. (Hindi) represented Jamia at the competition. The Event was sponsored by Shiksha Mandal Wardha, Maharashtra. It was held at Wardha from December 10, 2010 to December 11, 2010.

The second position was secured by Banaras Hindu University while Orissa University came secured the third. In total, there were representatives from 53 Universities (35 in Hindi and 18 in English) from all across the country who had participated in the competition.

Furthermore, Jamia Millia Islamia had also won the Second Prize in the Sat Paul Mittal Inter-University Debate Competition which was organized by the Indian Association of Parliamentarians for Population and Development, recently. Mr. Padmakar Dwivedi had represented the University there too. Mr. Padmakar Dwivedi has won various prizes/awards/medals in Debate/Essay/Elocution competitions in the last few years.
