New Delhi: All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) 2011 paper leak lead to confusion and chaos among its aspirants, yesterday i.e. on May 1, 2011. The exam was scheduled to commence from 9.30 am. However, the leaking of exam papers the same morning got everybody in a fix.
 
As per sources, instantly after the spread of news regarding the leak of papers, the CBSE released a notice of rescheduling the exam hours. The paper was rescheduled to 12.00 noon. Sources has informed that the AIEEE 2011 question papers were leaked in Uttar Pradesh and reportedly sold for Rs 6 lakh, forcing CBSE to postpone the test by over two hours and provide aspirants with fresh set of questions.
 
Abhishek Bhalla, 21, an AIEEE 2011 aspirant, said that it was a tiring day. He said that by the time the word for rescheduling spread, they were already waiting to write the exam. But they vacated the room and waited till 12 in the noon for the exam to begin. He added that in such heat and mental pressure, such discrepancies take a toll on the candidates.
 
Vineet Joshi, chairman, CBSE, appeared unperturbed when asked about the fallacy. He said that they distributed fresh set of papers to the candidates. He also mentioned that an inquiry will be conducted into the incident and those involved will be punished. He added that the moment they came to know about the leak in the morning, their objective was to deal with the issue without causing much inconvenience to the students.
