Bangalore University, Karnataka, has issued the notification for PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) Entrance Examination 2011. The entrance test is conducted for selecting eligible candidates for admission into PhD course in various departments, to be offered in the upcoming session 2011-12.
The University invites applications from those candidates who have passed the NET/SLET/GATE/JRF/ MPhil degree obtained through regular course work and not through distance education mode or belong to FIP/QIP Programmes or any other tests/examinations conducted by national bodies and candidates selected to work under funded projects fulfilling the requirement of eligibility of the Ordinance Governing Doctoral Degree Programme and Government sponsored foreign students.
Date of Exam
December 4, 2011 (Admission will be done on the basis of the candidates' performance in the written test followed by interview/counseling. The interview/counseling in respective Departments will be held from December 12 to 16, 2011.)

How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to browse the Application Form available on the website www.bu-admexam.in or www.attristech.com/bu. Applicants are required to enter all details in the Application Form and submit the same. Thereafter, they must download two sets of duly filled in Application Form and send one set to the Registrar (Evaluation), Bangalore University, Pareeksha Bhavan, Jnanbharati Campus, Bangalore - 560056, along with required enclosures and DD of Rs 1500 for Entrance and Rs 1000 for non-entrance candidates (for SC/ST and Category-I Candidates, 50% of the prescribed fee) drawn in favor of “The Finance Officer, Bangalore University, Bangalore on or before October 21, 2011 through speed post or courier duly superscribing “Application for PhD Admission 2011-12 (Entrance/Non Entrance)”. The other set shall be retained by the candidates for reference.
