Department of Biochemistry, University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, West Bengal, has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission into PhD (Doctorate of Philosophy) in Biochemistry, to be offered in the ensuing session 2011-12. Admission will be made on the basis of candidates' performance in the written test, followed by personal interview to be conducted by the University.
Note: Candidates with valid NET/GATE score are exempted to appear in the admission test but are required to appear in the interview.

Interested candidates are required to download the prescribed application form from the University’s official website: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/. The direct link to download the application form is: http://www.caluniv.ac.in/admission%20notice/form-biochem.pdf. One can also collect the same from the office of the Department of Biochemistry. The application fee is Rs 100 which is to be paid through Challan (details given on the website). The duly filled in application form, along with requisite documents (details given on the website), should be submitted to the office of Department of Biochemistry, latest by November 25, 2011.
