New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launches an online portal for Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel under project Akashdeep, which will facilitate the airmen to complete their bachelor's degree. The announcement regarding the launch of the portal was made by an IGNOU official.
As per the University, a total of 10 airmen registered themselves in-person after the launch ceremony. Project Akashdeep was introduced in December 2010. Under the project, all serving airmen can obtain bachelor's degrees within 8-13 years of their service.
Furthermore, Air Vice-Marshal Satyendra Kumar stated that the proposal will reach out to airmen posted anywhere in the country, where they can register themselves for an associate degree online.
