New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will offer diploma and degree courses in Advanced Information & Communication Technology and Electronics. The announcement regarding the announcement of the course was made on Thursday i.e. on September 22, 2011.
As per sources, the University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune, and will develop full and part time courses. According to a statement issued by IGNOU, the Master of Technology programme would consist of specific set of course work for one year, followed by a project of one-year duration. Sufficient flexibility will be incorporated to intersperse the project and the course work for maximum effectiveness.
Furthermore, provisions will also be made to exchange course credits to diploma/ certificate pr
ograme. Some of these courses can be offered as diploma/ certificate programmes with focused specialization. Besides, it is anticipated that the partnership would also lead to effective national/ international workshops, conferences, seminars, symposiums and publish the proceedings thereof.
