New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited applications for one month online programme on nutrition. As per sources, the programme will commence from February 2011. According to a statement by IGNOU, the programme intends to sensitize and guide, policy and programme leaders to rely more on evidence based programming for achieving nutrition-based security and sustainable development.
As per sources, the one month online programme, called as Leadership Programme on Nutrition Security and Sustainable Development, is for those candidates who are involved in or wish to be involved in the nutrition sector like policy makers and programme implementers, civil society and public health nutrition professionals. Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the programme.
Sources informed that the last date for submitting the application form, for the one month online programme, is January 15, 2011. Candidates desirous to apply for the programme are requested to visit the university's official website: http://www.ignou.ac.in/.
