Guwahati: Indian Institute of Technology - Guwahati (IIT-Guwahati) is in its quest for science wizard among school and college students. Therefore, the institute will conduct an entrance exam across 120 cities in India, including Nagpur.
Students from Std IX to XII are eligible to appear the entrance test. Interested candidates can register themselves on the spot on July 17 at the centre, Saraswati Vidyalaya. Students can also register themselves by logging on to www.techniche.org/technothlon.html
The exams have been renamed as 'Technothlon International School Championship'. Moreover, it is the only ticket which will allow students to take part in the big event. IIT-Guwahati's annual techno-management festival namely Techniche - 2011 will be held at the institute campus, later in the year.
The exam scheduled to be held from 11.00 am to 1 pm on Sunday, is exclusive again. The reason is that one cannot appear the exam all alone. The exam has to be given in teams comprising of two members only. There will be two categories for the examination, one will include students from Std IX-X and the other of students of Std XI-XII.
It will be a tough competition as only top 50 teams, each from both the groups, will be selected to partake in the main event at IIT-Guwahati, which will be held from September 1-4, 2011.
