Lucknow University Plans to Provide Facilities for Differently-Abled

Lucknow University (LU) plans to provide facilities to the differently-abled students for their free movement within the University campus. The announcement regarding such arrangement was made by an Official on Wednesday. Presently, there are over 300 disabled students in the University.
 
D.P. Tiwari, Superintendent of work, said that the arrangement for assisting the differently-abled students will be made both in the old and in the new campus. He mentioned that they have already identified 25 such spots. He also added that lifts, ramps and specially-designed washrooms would be set up for them.
 
Furthermore, he mentioned that they intend to spend around Rs.3 crore on these facilities, which would be provided in a systematic method. Firstly, the facilities would come up at the Education Department, examination hall, Institute of Development Studies and the postgraduate block.
