Greater Noida: Sharda University has organized programme stressingon the controlling of Tuberculosis in India with proper guidelines issuedfrom RNTCP (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme).
The University has organized a Continue Medical Education Programme on Tuberculosis at its affiliated Sharda School of Medical Science premises. The programme intends to address the causes, symptoms, prevention and cure for TB and the importance of controlling it in India, through RNTCP (Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme).
As per sources, it was a day-long workshop that involved the participation of CMO (Chief Medical Officer), guest faculty, students pursuing hospital administration and nursing course. The main agenda of the workshop was to make people aware of TB treatment, interact, share ideas and analyze their performance. Also, it aims at research findings on the impact of the disease in the country as well as the actual situation in terms of the delivery of health care services nationwide.
Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman SGI Group and Chancellor Sharda University, said that there is necessity for the involvement of all sectors - public and private, for the mobilization of the available resources for TB. He said that at Sharda, apart from education, they are also focusing on health care sector. Moreover, he added that it is with this effect that they can take such initiatives to create awareness among the society through their best medical facilities and highly qualified doctors.
